Boxes

Hardwoods are sawn into a lid blank and a box  blank from a single piece of wood.  The lid and box are created by turning each piece on the lathe.  A tiny hole is drilled in the lid for each open area of the design.  A thin scroll saw blade is passed through each hole to cut and create the design.  A signature of these boxes is the smooth and lustrous finish accomplished by sanding, oiling, buffing and waxing.
